Welcome to the official website of the Class of 1970 of TOPEKA HIGH SCHOOL, Topeka, Kansas!  As you can see, it's "under construction," so please check back regularly to see what's new.  New information as of 9/12/10 is noted by this color.  For now, we'll focus on details about the reunion.  Then plans are for the website to continue so we can stay in touch betwixt and between gatherings.

Friday ~ ~ ~

PARADE
2 PM • Parade begins,  gather at 1:30 outside auditorium.  We'll have vehicles for rides, or you're welcome to walk the route.  After the parade, we usually gather at Pepe & Chela's, 10th & Tyler.


FOOTBALL GAME
Free ticket included in registration package.

Press box hospitality suite (west side of stadium) reserved for us.  Free refreshments.

6:30 PM • Crowning of homecoming royalty at Hummer Sports Park, 6th  & Randolph.

7 PM • THS vs Highland Park.  Half-time fun includes Alumni Band, bring your instrument or borrow from a current band member.

MEET AND GREET
8:30 PM-Midnight • Meet and greet at Kansan Grill, 705 S. Kansas Ave., lower level reserved for us.  Plenty of room to mingle and chat.  Background music, cash bar, food service.

Saturday ~ ~ ~

THS
Event begins at 10 AM opening remarks and memorial on Constitution Plaza (east side of school).

Then cinnamon rolls & welcome totes in Hall of Fame, 2nd floor, main hall. 

10:15-11 AM • Jazz band on the front veranda directed by Steve Holloman.

10:30 AM  Guided tours.

Afternoon • Free for visits with classmates and family plus junior high reunions.


GALA
8 PM-Midnight • Gala at Kansas Association for Justice (former fire station), 719 SW Van Buren.  Party attire.  Music by PowerHouse DJs, hot appetizers, cash bar, dancing, door prizes, recognitions, and more.  Security on site.

9 PM Class photo then junior high photos plus photographer will be available until 10 PM to take group and couple photos.  Class photo cost $14 to be paid that evening.  Other photos available for order from photographer's website.

Because you're curious, reunion cost will be $40 for our 40th.

It's gonna be great!

Don't wait until the week after the reunion and say, "I'd have come if I'd known it was going to be so much fun!"
